History of Whiterock Local Market:

Good Local Market currently offers two different markets locations: White Rock Farmers Market and Lakewood Village Farmers Market. Each market is producer only with various meats, cheese, produce, pastries, pickles, jams, and specialty food all made by local Texan vendors. Good Local Markets include some of the best North Texans who hand-make toys, fine art, furniture, jewelry, clothing, and more.

Since becoming a part of GLM, White Rock Farmers Market has improved employment opportunities, fostered positive social connections, and promoted the diverse use of farms.

In Collaberation with Whole Foods:

With Whole Foods "Nourishing Our Neighborhoods" nutrition incentive program, Good Local Markets works together to achieve the goal set out in the community. The Nourishing our Neighborhoods program of Whole Foods Market helps local initiatives to get rid of obstacles that prevent people from getting access to food in their areas.

A pin-based Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card is known as the Lone Star Card for the State of Texas in the United States of America. With that program, a person may use their Lone Star card and receive rewards for going to the market. The card is used for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and Food Stamps programs.
